Welcome to 2024!
I can’t believe we are so far in the future from when I was just a little kiddo, but there are no flying cars. Yet, anyway. There is, however, a continuous movement to explore the innermost worlds.
As crazy as this world gets with wars, climate, natural and man-made disasters, pandemics, and more, there has also been a deeper exploration into the workings of our human existence. And for that, I am truly grateful.
I’ve been an ‘inner-explorer’ for over 30 years now and while I haven’t always meditated and I haven’t always been in therapy, I will say that I’ve stayed connected to some sort of higher being, god, power of the universe, for all those years.
It has been my yoga practice that continues to lead my back to my inner most self. Every class I take or teach, I’m forced to connect to the divine within.
This doesn’t mean I don’t get angry, sad, frustrated, disappointed or heart broken. Quiet the contrary. It means I feel more deeply.
I remember over 25 years ago when I started my yoga practice, I started to clean out the cobwebs. I started to feel things differently. I became way more in touch with how sugar made me feel, sleep, too much food, etc. I was already sober, so I didn’t have the experiment with alcohol, but with just about everything else in my life, I was able to feel deeper.
So, it’s not just about flexibility and calmness. It’s about being a pioneer of sensations. It’s about accentuating our human existence and all it’s nuances and subtleties.
I encourage you to join me as I continue to navigate the word of the subtle realms. Of course, we also think about strength, flexibility and stress management, but I dare you to join me in a deeper quest of the soul!! Sign up here.
